Programmers: Wiser With Age
by Monica Rozenfeld, "the institute" - IEEE USA
When it comes to writing software for new smartphones and Windows upgrades, seasoned programmers are not being left behind; they know as much as, if not more than, their younger colleagues.
In a recent study by North Carolina State University, in Raleigh, researchers looked at profiles of more than 80 000 programmers on an online site that allows users to ask and answer questions about programming, and rate the usefulness of the answers. Those with more “useful” answers earn a higher reputation score.
